The IDF spokesperson announced that last week an Air Force fighter jet dropped fuel tanks during a training flight over the maritime area off the coast of Ashkelon, following a technical malfunction in the aircraft. It was stated that "the aircraft returned and landed safely at the Air Force base in central Israel. There were no casualties." It was later reported that today one of the dropped fuel tanks was identified on the coast in the maritime area of central Israel, "security forces are working to collect the tank."
