Cyber Directorate: Beware of calls impersonating Google - do not provide details

|
The National Cyber Directorate has issued a warning about automated calls impersonating Google, following reports of calls in English claiming that the phone number on the account has changed and that the activity originates from Tehran. "Receiving the call itself is not proof that the account has been hacked," the Cyber Directorate stated. "Do not click on numbers and do not continue the suspicious call. Hang up. Do not provide passwords and authentication codes and do not approve actions you did not initiate. Check the account independently through the app or Google's official website, and not through a link or number provided in the contact. If you received such a call or have already provided details - contact the Cyber Directorate's 119 center for reporting and consultation."
