Court: Body of toddler killed by pitbull bite in Kiryat Bialik will not be exhumed for autopsy

|
The Krayot Magistrate's Court ruled that the 15-month-old toddler who was fatally bitten by a pitbull about a month and a half ago in Kiryat Bialik will not be exhumed for an autopsy. This comes after the director of the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir, Dr. Chen Kugel, proposed exhuming her body after determining that "it is not possible to give an opinion with the required level of certainty regarding the mechanism that caused the injuries." Attorney Avi Amar, who represents the mother, stated that "the court dismissed the father's claims one by one and his request to exhume the toddler's body, and even ruled that the cause of death is clear, which is the dog bite."
