Karhi at right-wing protest in Jerusalem: 'No to judicial minority rule'

|
Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi attacked the Supreme Court and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara at a right-wing rally in front of the Supreme Court in Jerusalem, attended by thousands. "No to judicial minority rule, no to bureaucratic rule, no to engineering reality and no to trampling the will of the people," he declared. "In a democracy, government is not elected in Supreme Court chambers, it is elected at the ballot box, which they are trying to empty in order to strip away our Jewish identity." According to him, "Sovereignty belongs to the citizen, not to officials. We will not let them reverse the natural order."
