Investigation of Amichai Ben Shlosh on suspicion of election bribery concluded, police: 'There is basis for indictment'

Police announced that the investigation of former Acre Mayor Amichai Ben Shlosh, his deputy Itamar Sonino and additional suspects has concluded, in which they were investigated on suspicion of taking and giving bribes, election bribery, fraud and breach of trust. The statement said that "during the covert and overt investigation by the Lahav 433 unit, findings emerged of suspicion that close to the 2024 municipal elections for mayor, Amichai Ben Shlosh and others acted to transfer payments to voters in order for them to vote for him." The case has been transferred for review and decision by the Haifa District Attorney's Office. According to police, the evidence provides a basis for filing indictments.
