National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir addressed the Attorney General after a letter was sent that raised concerns about his improper interference in the promotion of Chief Inspector Rinat Saban, who testified in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial. "Your letter raises serious concerns about improper intervention by the Attorney General in the professional work processes required before the promotion of police officers. Your intervention can only be seen as blatant and improper political interference," he wrote. He questioned why the legal counsel is interfering "in professional processes for promoting police officers of a rank equivalent to major in the IDF."
