Report: Israeli digital advertising agency allegedly spied on users

|
The Israeli digital advertising agency 'Discover-Tech' allegedly spied on internet users through an extensive network of online ads, which were used to track targets and assist in hacking into their devices, according to two research organizations. According to separate reports by Canadian cyber watchdog 'Citizen Lab' and New York-based ad security firm 'Confiant', the company's services provided Israeli spyware firm Candiru – which was blacklisted by the U.S. government – and other Israeli surveillance companies with access to advertising platforms operated by Google, Comcast, Russia's Yandex and others.
