Report: 'Cairo completely rejects Rafah plan, it will threaten peace agreements'

|
Egyptian diplomatic sources told the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, associated with Hezbollah, that Cairo has officially notified the United States and Israel of its "absolute rejection" of establishing a humanitarian tent city in Rafah, saying it "threatens provisions of the peace agreement that prohibit any violation of the agreed security arrangements in border areas." In the report, headlined "Rafah Ghetto Concerns Cairo," it states this move could cause Egypt to "reconsider some regional arrangements" and that "all scenarios are on the table, including those beyond the diplomatic dimension."
