Petitioners against changing the dismissal rules for Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara have appealed to the Supreme Court requesting an interim order to freeze her dismissal process. The petitioners asked the court to inform the government that it is prohibited from discussing the recommendation of the ministerial committee headed by Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli to dismiss Baharav-Miara and from making any decision until the petitions on the legality of changing the rules are resolved. Earlier this week, Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg rejected the previous request for an interim order and did not prevent the committee from convening.
