The Israel Tax Authority and Lahav 433 arrested a suspect for concealing cryptocurrency trading activity worth tens of millions of dollars. According to the suspicion, the suspect traded in digital currencies on various exchanges without reporting his activity to the Tax Authority and while omitting income from his personal tax returns, with the intent to evade tax payments. In addition, suspicion arose that he held unreported bank accounts abroad and used another person's bank account to conceal his activity and the funds received from it. During the investigation, searches were conducted in which significant amounts of foreign currency and a luxury vehicle were seized. The Haifa Magistrate's Court extended his detention until Sunday.
