Man killed by Border Police fire during chase near Hadera

A man who was critically wounded near Maor village near Hadera has died, with police stating he was killed by Border Police fire. According to police, the victim was traveling with two others in agricultural areas of Talmei Elazar village when Border Police officers requested them to stop after arousing suspicion. "In response, the driver began fleeing recklessly. During the pursuit, the vehicle rammed the police car. The force responded by firing at the vehicle, and the suspects continued to flee," police reported. Later, according to police, the vehicle was located - with an injured person nearby, "apparently one of the suspects who was hit by the gunfire." He was evacuated to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to suspicions, they were part of a burglary gang.
