The Tel Aviv Municipality will close some lifeguard stations on beaches during weekdays due to staff shortages. In July, lifeguard stations at Metzitzim and Tzuk North beaches were closed, and starting tomorrow, the station at the gender-separated beach will close, followed by the one at Gordon Beach. The municipality emphasized that all stations operate normally on weekends and that it is working to recruit new lifeguards, including opening a lifeguard training school and offering incentives for young people - but these require government approval that has not yet been granted.
