'Tinder Swindler' Simon Leviev released from prison in Georgia: 'Reached plea deal'

|
Simon Leviev, the "Tinder Swindler," has been released from prison in Georgia. He was arrested last September when he landed in Batumi due to an international arrest warrant issued by the German government on suspicion of defrauding German citizens of millions of shekels. Leviev's attorney, Sharon Nahari, told ynet that "after examining the evidence, partial statute of limitations on alleged offenses from 2017, and material weaknesses in the case, I reached a plea deal with German authorities for only one year of suspended imprisonment and closure of the remaining cases against my client, hence all arrest warrants against him were canceled and he is being released from prison in Tbilisi."
