Opposition leader Yair Lapid addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks in his Knesset speech, after Netanyahu claimed yesterday that polls showing public majority support for a hostage deal are "engineered." Lapid said: "Netanyahu, the only people engineering reality work in your office. The people of Israel want the war to end and the hostages brought home. The people of Israel understand this war is going nowhere and if we don't bring an alternative government to Gaza, Hamas will remain. So they tell themselves - at least let's bring our hostages home. We'll withdraw to the border, regroup and decide what to do next."
