Court convicts former parliamentary aide Nissim Cohen of bribery and money laundering

The Haifa District Court convicted Nissim Cohen, who served as a parliamentary assistant and driver for former Knesset member and Religious Services Minister Yitzhak Vaknin, of bribery and money laundering offenses. According to the indictment, Cohen accepted bribes amounting to tens of thousands of shekels and used his position and connections to advance private requests involving entry visas, passing government licensing tests, tax benefits and more. Cohen admitted to the charges against him.
