Father of Edan Alexander: 'He was handcuffed, beaten and interrogated, but Hamas knew more about IDF than he did'

|
In an interview with The New York Times, Edan Alexander's father, Adi, revealed new details about his son's 584 days in captivity in Gaza. 'He was handcuffed, beaten and interrogated,' he said, 'but the interrogations were futile.' He explained that 'Edan had been a soldier for only 10 months when he was kidnapped, there was nothing to interrogate him about. They knew about the IDF's order of battle much better than he did.' According to him, 'At one point, a tunnel collapsed around him and injured his shoulder. He is very thin. He mainly survived on pita, rice, beans and black coffee. His skin turned pale from lack of sunlight and became covered with red sores. His entire body was scratched from bedbug bites. His skin is in terrible condition.'
