Yonatan Sameriz, whose brother Alon was kidnapped on October 7 and mistakenly shot to death by IDF forces, said he will not run for Knesset in the upcoming elections. Sameriz, who heads the 'Komu' movement and is responsible for organizing the national memorial ceremony for October 7 families, said: "I will not run for Knesset, on any list, neither existing nor independent. I accept this decision with a heavy but whole heart. In recent months I decided to enter politics, but I understood that the time is not yet ripe. I received many offers, but I felt there is no place I truly identify with."
