Report: Hackers shut down communication systems of dozens of Iranian tankers and ships

|
A group of hackers claims to have disabled the communication systems of 64 Iranian cargo ships and oil tankers, according to the opposition-affiliated website "Iran International." The group claims that communication between the various vessels and between them and ports has been cut off, and they are unable to "communicate with the outside world." They claimed this is one of the largest cyberattacks on Iran's maritime sector. The hackers announced that they breached the systems of two Iranian regime-linked companies, NITC and IRISL, and disconnected communications for 39 tankers and 25 cargo ships.
