Uriel Baruch is one of the deceased who was returned to Israel and has been officially identified at the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The 35-year-old from Givon was kidnapped while on his way home from the Nova music festival. In March 2024, his family learned that Uriel was murdered on October 7 and his body was taken to the Gaza Strip. He is survived by his wife Racheli, two children, his parents and three brothers. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum stated that "the return of Uriel's body provides some solace to the family who has lived with tormenting uncertainty and doubt for over two years."
