Vietnam and Russia have agreed to conduct negotiations and quickly sign an agreement for the construction of nuclear power plants in Vietnam, the two countries announced in a joint statement. 'The construction of plants with advanced technology will comply with safety and radiation regulations for socio-economic development,' stated the declaration, which was issued following the Moscow visit of Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
