On the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, extensive search efforts are underway for an Israeli tourist, a father of children, who was swept out to sea at Chaloklum Beach in the northern part of the island. The father, who was on a family vacation, went missing after jumping into the water to rescue his young son who was in distress. According to family testimonies and local sources, the son was carried away by a strong current near a bridge or after entering the water, and his father immediately jumped in to save him. He managed to safely guide the child to shore, but when he tried to return himself, he was swept away again by high waves and dangerous currents.
