Report: Force fired at Khan Younis hospital without required authorization

IDF Spokesperson published a preliminary investigation into the attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The investigation reveals that forces from the Golani Brigade identified a camera placed by Hamas in the hospital. The camera was suspected of monitoring soldier activities. This conclusion was strengthened due to terrorist organizations' use of hospitals throughout the fighting and based on intelligence information. The force acted to destroy the camera. The investigation found that the force acted to remove the threat. The IDF Chief of Staff instructed to deepen the investigation in several areas: further examination regarding the approval process between headquarters before the attack, both concerning the armaments approved for the attack and regarding the timing of attack authorization and investigation of decision-making in the field.
