Opposition leader Yair Lapid addressed the burning of a car in Jerusalem during protests demanding the return of hostages in the city, writing on X that he "condemns the burning of cars in Jerusalem, but condemns much more a government that abandons hostages to their death in Gaza." Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana tweeted in response to the events that "the legal advisor to the protest, Ms. Baharav-Miara, with her incompetence and selective enforcement, is burning the country."
