The Ministry of Health has ordered all health institutions to immediately inspect the contents of medical gas cylinders, with emphasis on medical air and oxygen. The directive was issued following suspicions at the Ministry of Labor that the cylinders used by Irena Radchuk and Nitzan Goykhman, who perished in the disaster at the Ashdod refinery, did not contain medical air and may have even contained toxic material. The Ministry of Labor announced it is unable to determine which cylinders are involved, and therefore all of them need to be inspected. The Ministry of Health noted that a formal recall notice will be sent upon completion of the inspections.
