Following the deadly attack at a church in Jordan, the Foreign Ministry stated that "Israel expresses its deep condolences to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as to the families of those murdered, following the tragic terrorist attack at the church in Karak. Attacking a place of worship and murdering innocent worshippers constitute a serious assault on freedom of religion. We wish a full and speedy recovery to the injured and express solidarity with Jordan in the fight against terror and extremism." Nine people were killed and about 30 were injured after gunmen arrived at the church in a vehicle yesterday and opened fire at those present.
