French President Emmanuel Macron sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he wrote that "the occupation of Gaza, forced displacement and starvation of Palestinians, dehumanization and hate speech alongside West Bank annexation will never bring victory to Israel." According to him, "These actions will only make your country much more isolated, and will encourage those who use them as an excuse for antisemitism." He added that "These steps would be a victory for those who refuse to recognize Israel as a friend, a credible ally and a reliable partner, as it should be, as we want it to be."
