US military: We disabled cargo ship trying to break Iran naval blockade

|
The U.S. military said it disabled a commercial cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman after the ship's crew ignored warnings and attempted to break through the naval blockade imposed on Iran. "An American fighter jet struck the legs of the Ocean Molica, also known as Arika Sun and sailing under a Panamanian flag, using precision munitions," the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement. "The strike completely disabled the ship's propulsion system without harming the crew." Central Command noted that the cargo ship attempted to sail in the area's waters after departing from an Iranian port.
