A cyclist in his 50s was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Route 4, near HaDarim Junction in the Sharon region. Magen David Adom paramedics and emergency medical technicians who arrived at the scene were forced to pronounce him dead. Emergency medical technician Noam Ifrgan said: 'This is a horrific traffic accident. The cyclist was lying on the road unconscious and suffering from multi-system trauma. We were told he was hit by a vehicle. We began performing medical checks, but his injury was severe and we were forced to pronounce him dead.'
