Ten members of the UN Security Council have requested to hold a vote tomorrow on a draft resolution regarding the war in Gaza, Reuters news agency reported. According to the report, the draft includes demands for an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire and release of hostages. It also calls for removing all restrictions on aid entering Gaza and ensuring its safe, unrestricted and widespread distribution throughout the Strip. The resolution requires nine votes from the 15 council members, with no veto from permanent members US, Russia, China, Britain or France. The proposal is an initiative by Slovenia, Guyana and Algeria. Israel is maintaining contact with the US to encourage a veto.
