US Vice President JD Vance was asked at the beginning of his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the perception that the United States is increasingly becoming a "protector of Israel" - but it was the Prime Minister who responded to the question. Netanyahu said that "We are not a US protectorate. Sometimes they say the US is our protectorate, and other times they say we are theirs. Israel will decide on its own security."
