Yashar Chairman Gadi Eisenkot said at the ceremony for receiving the mandate to form a government that "it is possible and correct to quickly establish a new government that receives a large majority in the Knesset." He added: "For me, unity is not a political bargaining chip or an empty trick, but a supreme value that expresses a pure and true partnership. If indeed members of Likud and Religious Zionism believe this is a time for unity, as they declared before the President, I cannot fathom a reason why they would not come and support a government under my leadership and the principles I have presented."
