|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the security detail for Yesh Right! Chairman Gadi Eisenkot and instructed Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar to ensure he receives security "at an appropriate level, as needed." The Shin Bet clarified to Netanyahu that they are "doing the maximum" and "acting according to the law." In a statement by Central Elections Committee Chairman Judge Noam Sohlberg, it was written that "the Shin Bet chief said there is no intelligence information or warnings of an intention to harm the head of the Yesh Right party," and Bar further clarified: "The decision not to provide him with security was made by the Shin Bet chief, and he bears sole responsibility for this matter."
