The Dallas Mavericks selected 18-year-old Cooper Flagg as the first overall pick in the NBA Draft. The young player, standing at 6'8" (2.02 meters), is considered one of the greatest talents available in the draft in recent years. The forward skipped his final year of high school to join Duke University's basketball team, where he immediately became its biggest star. He posted impressive statistics and led the team to the Final Four semifinals of the college tournament. Israelis Danny Wolf and Ben Sherf may also be selected later in the draft.
