Ishai Zimmerman, one of the last fighters of Unit 101, died at Kibbutz Ein Harod Ihud at nearly 93 years old. His comrade Lt. Col. Moshe Peled eulogized: 'We have lost one of the glorious heroes of the people of Israel. A fierce warrior who was among the veterans of Unit 101 and from a generation that left its mark on the combat values of the IDF. He was a creative visionary and a trailblazer.'
