A suspect who tried to flee after stealing a car in Jerusalem died in a self-caused crash. Police said the vehicle was stolen from the Katamon neighborhood in the city. Officers who identified the stolen vehicle attempted to stop it, and the suspected driver began trying to escape, which included driving against traffic. Officers even fired at the vehicle's tires, but the suspect continued fleeing until he caused a crash at the At-Tur junction in East Jerusalem, during which he collided with a pole and a private vehicle. His death was pronounced at the hospital. A civilian and a police officer were also lightly injured in the incident.
