The Northern District Attorney's Office filed two indictments in the Nazareth District Court against seven people for importing, possessing and trafficking weapons and smuggling them from Syria in an attempt to transfer them to criminals in Israel. The defendants are: Rami Abu Shah from Shfaram; Amir Salman, Anan Mula and Munir Abu-Daher from Yarka; and Yasser Burjas, Ruad Albasar and Salman Abu Kis from Hadar, Syria. According to the indictment, they took advantage of the escalation in southern Syria to enter the country, establish connections with various entities and conduct illegal weapons deals, sometimes under the guise of humanitarian activities.
