The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the captain of a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz area reported that fire was opened toward it from two boats belonging to Iran's Revolutionary Guards. According to the report, the tanker and crew were not harmed. Meanwhile, three security sources told Reuters that at least two merchant vessels attempting to cross the strait came under fire.
