15 teenagers from Netanya were questioned by police on suspicion of stealing fire extinguishers and emptying them throughout the city. According to the suspicion, the offense was committed as part of a dangerous 'challenge' on social media, including TikTok, in which teenagers steal extinguishers and empty their contents in public spaces. Following reports received, an investigation was opened and three teenagers aged 14-15 were even caught in the act and detained for questioning. City inspectors issued each of the three a fine of 730 shekels. The rest of the minors were detained at the police station accompanied by their parents. Police emphasize that this is dangerous behavior that could cost human lives.
