Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, members of the 'Mecca Agreement Defense Alliance,' convened an emergency meeting to discuss ways to assist Saudi Arabia against the Houthis. In a joint statement, they said 'Mecca Alliance' countries stand united and are exercising collective deterrence against attacks on the Kingdom and the holy sites, and against those behind these attacks.' In addition, Pakistan and Turkey will rapidly deploy military forces and military assets to Saudi Arabia. The three countries agreed to discuss measures that can be taken to 'resolve the issue peacefully and through dialogue.'
