The State Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against Israel Namdar, 24, from Jerusalem, who was involved in rolling a burning garbage dumpster that hit and severely injured a woman during an extreme ultra-Orthodox protest on Yehezkel Street in the city in 2022. Namdar evaded police forces for a period and was considered a fugitive until his arrest by police about two weeks ago. He is charged with aggravated assault under aggravating circumstances, arson, endangering public roads and assaulting a police officer.
