The IDF has cleared for publication that four armored corps soldiers were killed this morning in a Hamas guerrilla attack on an army fortified position in Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip. The militants threw an explosive device into a tank stationed outside the fortified position, which caught fire - resulting in the deaths of the crew members and the injury of one additional soldier. The soldiers were from the regular armored brigade 401. The identities of three of the fallen have been released: Staff Sgt. Uri Lamed (20) from Tel Mond, Sgt. Gadi Kutel (20) from Kibbutz Afikim and Sgt. Amit Aryeh Regev (19) from Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut.
