Meteorological Service Director: 'Do not hike in wadis and streams tomorrow - flash floods happen quickly'

|
Meteorological Service Director Dr. Amir Givati warned in an interview with the ynet studio about flash floods between the Dead Sea and Eilat, from tomorrow until Friday: "The authorities have been updated, but rain is expected in the south and flash floods happen very quickly. People need to be careful and not hike in wadis and streams tomorrow," he said. He added that "this is the first rain after a long period of drought and dust, everything is slippery and there's dirt in the streets. The first rain causes disruptions. Just one hour of rain is enough for everything to be flooded."
