Reserve Staff Sergeant Noam Shemesh, 21, from Jerusalem, a squad commander in the Shimshon Battalion (92) of the Kfir Brigade, was killed by anti-tank fire in Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip. Another soldier was lightly wounded.
