Ben-Gvir: 'Shocked by the murder of Yamano Zalka. Unfortunately, we can't place a police officer at every pizzeria and street'

|
In the wake of the murder of Yamano Benjamin Zalka in Petah Tikva, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said he spoke with Police Commissioner Danny Levy at the end of Shabbat. "My heart aches over this shocking and utterly unnecessary murder. This is a difficult and painful loss, and I share in the family's grief. The Israel Police will continue to act decisively and will bring the murderers to full justice," he said. Ben-Gvir added that "we continue to strengthen the police and increase its ranks by thousands of new officers, but unfortunately we cannot place a police officer at every pizzeria and on every street. There is also a need to increase awareness and education - to make it clear to everyone that violence is a red line that must not be crossed."
