Bass updated that she intends to call the president today and ask him to focus on preparations for the World Cup soccer tournament that will be held next year, including in the city. Earlier, Trump claimed he spoke with California Governor Gavin Newsom and told him "he needs to do a better job." Newsom denied they spoke.
