Sgt. First Class Shoham Menachem, who fell in Gaza, was a tank driver like his father - a former POW from the Yom Kippur War

Sergeant First Class Shoham Menachem, who was killed today in a tank explosion in Jabaliya, is the son of Shmuel Menachem, a former prisoner of war from the Yom Kippur War. He followed in his father's footsteps and enlisted in Battalion 52 of Brigade 401, where he served as a tank driver - just like his father before him. He was killed alongside Sergeant Shlomo Yakir Shram and Sergeant Yuli Factor.
