Herzog on Lawlessness: 'Police Are Doing Their Best, but This Country Is a Bit Too Big for Them'

|
President Isaac Herzog was asked at the Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth 'People of the State' Conference about the lack of governance and said that "our police, who are doing their best, this country is a bit too big for them. We need a stronger police force - and much larger, because there are many challenges here. Crime in Arab society is a disaster." The president added that "the violence we saw in Modi'in following the arrest of deserters is intolerable. And the thing that troubles me most and keeps me awake at night is the violence we are seeing in Judea and Samaria, it is a huge stain on the face of the state, a moral stain."
