About 70,000 visitors toured nature reserves and national parks today, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported. Among the prominent sites were Yarkon National Park (Afek), Caesarea National Park, Masada National Park, Tel Ashkelon National Park, Gan HaShlosha National Park (Sachne) and Ein Hemed National Park. More than 5,000 visitors stayed at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority's overnight camping sites during the weekend. In the north, the overnight camping sites at Ein Harod, Achziv and Hurshat Tal stood out, in the center the Ashkelon overnight camping site, and in the south Mamshit and Khan Be'erot in Ramon Crater.
