The Police Internal Investigations Department (PIID) announced that it has filed an indictment at the Nazareth Magistrate's Court against Mati Bracha, a police officer serving as a youth detective, for assaulting a 17-year-old teenager. According to the indictment, last November the victim arrived at the police station alongside another teen to collect a mobile phone that had been confiscated during an investigation. Upon entering the interrogation room at the station, an argument broke out between the accused and the victim, during which the detective grabbed his neck with one hand, slapped his cheek with the other hand and caused his head to slam into the wall.
