Hostage families held a prayer and a "holiday meal" outside the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem. The mother of hostage Nimrod Cohen, Vicki, said at the location that "Nimrod was cruelly abducted on October 7 along with his tank crew, and for almost two years he has been in hell in Gaza. I wanted so much for him to be here so we could celebrate the new year together. The sadness is great, but so is the hope that he was taken alive and will return home. I hope that compassion will reach the heart of our Prime Minister, that perhaps he will have mercy on us, that he will feel compassion for our loved ones who are screaming from the tunnels and whose voices are not heard."
